About Seget Donji

Located a stone’s throw from UNESCO-listed Trogir, Seget Donji is a picturesque seaside village on the Split Riviera. It’s a convenient base for exploring the region’s islands and beaches, with a great choice of restaurants and a newly built marina among its attractions.

Things to do in Seget Donji

For a day at the coast, you can take your pick of Seget Donji’s pebble beaches, with one of the most popular being Medena. Stroll along the breezy promenade that hugs the Adriatic Sea or settle in at one of the alfresco restaurants that include Coco’s Club and the Beer Garden Seget. Further east is the modern Marina Baotic where you can dine while watching the luxury yachts coming and going.

Seget Donji makes an ideal base for visiting Trogir, which is clustered on a small island between the Croatian mainland and Čiovo. Designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it features beautifully preserved Renaissance, Baroque and Romanesque buildings. Soak up the views across Trogir from the Cathedral of St. Lawrence’s bell tower and admire the Venetian Gothic-style Cipiko Palaces, then climb atop the Kamerlengo Fortress’s historic walls.

Connected to Trogir by a bridge is the island of Čiovo, which is ringed by beautiful beaches that include Okrug Gornji, Krčića and Labadusa. It also has a rich cultural heritage, with centuries-old churches, convents and monasteries dotting the island. Highlights include the cliffside Church of Our Lady of Prizidnica and the Franciscan Convent of St. Anthony where religious treasures are preserved.

Getting around Seget Donji

Seget Donji is just five minutes’ drive from Trogir and 35 minutes from Split. Split Airport is 15 minutes away and has seasonal flights to destinations across Europe. Buses connect to Seget Donji from Split and travel throughout the village. Boats travel between nearby Seget Vranjica and Trogir.
