About Grand Canyon Village

Grand Canyon Village is a gateway to one of the world's most iconic natural wonders. It's perched on the South Rim of Grand Canyon National Park and offers easy access to dozens of spectacular lookout points, including Mather Point. At more than 2,000 metres above sea level, it commands sweeping views of the canyon's colourful layered rock bands.

Ranger-led talks offer an in-depth introduction to the Grand Canyon and its unique geology and ecosystem. Adventurous travellers can descend into the canyon, where a layer of ancient Vishnu Schist rock is dated at around two billion years old.

Getting there
